Velvet
I'm starting to get excited about the lineup announcement and trying desperately to forget how much the lawnchairs piss me off.So I thought we could list all the rumoured and confirmed acts here and get a jump on the official announcement (when does that happen this year?).So far we know of: James TaylorManx/BreitZappa Plays ZappaAnything else been confirmed here or there?I wonder if Steely Dan playing Montreal Jazz Fest suggests that they'll be booked? Freak By Night
I'm not 100% sure about Sonny - I did see him on pollstar.com last week as playing the Ottawa Blues Festival, but I just checked and it's not there now. So we'll have to wait and see. Slayer: I'm just trying to start a rumour.

Velvet
Tony DGod' date=' I wish for once this wouldn't be true.[/quote']I just don't understand this mentality. It's a Bluesfest and we have an internationally recognised blues player in town, why shouldn't he be a standard. Not to mention he's a hell of a player.I will say that I wish money would be better spent than hiring fucking Blue Rodeo again. AdamH
If I was to guess I'd say it's not about his ability, it's just his lack of stage presence. But he's been a supporter of the fest for years and has earned his place in the lineup each time. Did anyone go see Tony's Hendrix cover show thing last weekend?
