BLTs, any twists, suggestions?!?

I make avocado clubs often. Lettuce, mayo, avocado, cheese, thin slices of red pepper and black olives.

I love the sour dough bread.

Fried mushrooms and onions are fantastic too.

I think that adding avocado would make an amazing addition to any sandwich.

there's a place on Roncesvalles in Toronto (B's) that has a sandwich that is so ridiculously awesome, and it's called the BLATCH

Bacon Lettuce Avocado Tomato Cheese and I can't remember what the H is. (it's not ham)

In The rebar cookbook they make a club (not a blt) with, from bottom to top:

Sourdough slice

Chipotle mayonnaise

smoked salmon

a few poached shrimp

sourdough bread

chipotle mayonnaise

avocado

red onion

red pepper

chipotle mayonnaise

sourdough bread

It's insanely good.

I was reading that some people add guac or advocado, change up the mayo by adding garlic and other flavourings

Any brilliant ideas to change it up a bit?

Might try to find some sourdough bread, for starters

Inspired by the BLT cookbook that SharonandMike gave me, we finally did this^ (four-ish months on), that is sourdough bread + guacamole... it was heavenly. we also used the bacon that booche so kindly and thoughtfully got me for my birthday, it was all kinds of awesome. I would eat one right now if it were possible
