Kanada Kev
My favorite film of all time is Das Boot Kickass movie. I went to see that when it first came out with my mom (i was 11 ). I love WWII movies and this has got to be my favourite. I can't stand seeing it dubbed with english voices. You have to subtitle it and hear the German voices IMHO. Of course, you must also love "Das Boobs" from SCTV:

badams
If you like Das Boot or German films check out Der Untergang (Downfall). It is a very intense movie about the final days of Adolf Hitler. Bruno Ganz is fantastic as Hitler.
Freak By Night
Hollywood's coming out with their own version of "Das Experiment" next year. I predict it won't be as good as the German version.

Bruno Ganz is fantastic as Hitler. And check out the chilling German film The Lives of Others (Oscar winner for best foreign language film in 2007). One sad footnote to the film is that the unforgettable star, Ulrich Mühe, died of stomach cancer not too long after the film was released, although he did live long enough to win both a German Film Award and European Film Award for best actor.
