Well, to go with what the Basher is thinking about, I'll nominate that band that did that all-too-brief-a hit, "Touch Of Grey", but never managed to get anything else into the charts... Velvet
I had that Vapours tune in my head all day on Saturday. At the NAC they were doing a piece that soooo reminded me of Turning Japanese. Maybe Black Betty by Ramjam? Oh yeah, how about the Dead with Touch Of Grey? Jaimoe
" Kick Out The Jams " by The MC5 Although their album by the same name is one of the finer and influential live albums ( 1968 )you'll ever hear.

Tungsten Gruvsten
Hey Kung don't forget 'Silver Thunderbird' from the same album as 'Walking in Memphis'...that kept Cohn on the billboard charts for almost a year. I'm liking the fact that 'one-hit wonders' and other semi-successful tunes are sort of re-emerging as sample fodder for bad dance music and hip-hop. Think 'Islands in the Stream' for hiphop and the piano from silver thunderbird in a pounding trance tune...heard that one at a club once...
