The guy makes me laugh way more often than he makes me scowl and I always appreciate his attempts to shake things up. He's unpredictable and honest, and I like that. I don't always agree with the diagnosis of said bullshit, but at least he stirs up some discussion. Plus, he likes the Flaming Lips, so he's A-OK in my book. After being severely flamed (and actually alienated) from a few 'friends' for comments I made regarding a jamband a couple of years ago- I try and keep my "acid tongue" to myself nowadays. But it is with great pleasure that I criticize vicariously through the computer of Kung. It seems for some reason that the community loves to love everything, and just can't say an unkind (even if well deserved) thing about any band in our scene. Heres to kung! Strong opinions lead to discussion, and we can all thank Kung for lots of discussion starting and "adding fuel to the fire" posts. And like him or hate him, the man sure knows his music, and loves music. Hmmmm ...
