He and his fathead svengali brother are the ones that wanted Cherry to speak to Toronto city council in the first place and Ford isn't much different than Don, philosophically, but the former infuriates and scares me far more (nothing Don does surprises me, but those in the media and some Torontonians are surely naive if his moronic and offensive rants came as a surprise).

Since almost all of Ford's policies involve his unhealthy love affair with the car, I think he would like Toronto and its citizens to be more like Wall-E. He certainly fits the mold:

Ugh. I can't stand her "Peaches" personna. I used to sorta like her '90s experimental band, Fancypants Hoodlum (I saw them around 10 times - she was my friend's roommate), but disliked The Shit and her early solo work. Still, she has carved out a decent niche for herself.

I still see no logic in your Stojakovic derision. However, I'm liking the effort of this young squad. Ed Davis's debut was excellent. If they deal Stojakovic at the deadline (or before), which will probably happen, then the team will only get better. But I do like that Stojakovic likes Toronto and is married to a Greek (I'm thinking I'll run into him in my hood at some point: Riverdale/Greektown).

There's so few official Who live releases, so this is still tempting. Anything with Moon in his prime is worth seeking out.

Too bad that great guitar solo at the end of "Cry If You Want" is buried in the terrible mix. It's the song's only saving grace.

Not from 2010, but the (unintentionally) funniest music video I've ever seen.

I was shopping in the summer and heard this kickass band on a store's sound-system. It sounded like old school punk meets early Springsteen. I asked one of the salespeople what band they were playing and she said Gaslight Anthem. I'm glad I asked! Fucking good album.
