  1. "Elvis - Get Over It" is one of my favourites. Aloha, Brad
  2. Have they been doing one or two sets so far in this run of shows? Aloha, Brad

  4. Some googling led to http://www.dpreview.com/ (among others) which might be good when comparing different makes/models. They also have discussion forums. Aloha, Brad
  5. I checked the last few Spades shows I've uploaded, and can't see it in any of the set lists, but I'm sure I've heard them or somebody do it over the last bunch of months (because I recognized it, knew the title, and the original artist). I'll process last night's show after dinner this evening; it was a short (opening) set (less than 40 minutes), so it might be available quickly (he said, hopefully). Aloha, Brad
  6. James McKenty And The Spades did a tasty cover of that last night at Zaphod's in Ottawa. (I think they've done it before, too; I'll try to dig it up.) Aloha, Brad
  7. According to http://www.jambase.com/headsup.asp?storyID=9338 People who pre-order the package (or buy the downloadable package) get a bonus CD of live tracks. The full track listing for the package is Aloha, Brad
  8. By what method are you selecting the random numbers that determine the winners, 'bama? Aloha, Brad
  9. I claim "Noimbrian and Sosmywife" as a band name. Aloha, Brad
  10. Fingers crossed for Ottawa. As well, they have something new when it comes to "street teams." According to http://www.theslip.com/info.php?i=2275 Aloha, Brad
  11. Maybe you were drunk? Aloha, Brad
  12. How about we just arrange it so that you get denied when you try to cross into the US? It'd be no trouble (for us...). Aloha, Brad
  13. Get de-fence-ive, and hie thee to the show! Aloha, Brad
  14. What/where was the first article? Aloha, Brad
  15. I'd be tempted to do MMSW, Weirdness, especially if you can do at least one of the other two nights of The Slip. And if you come to Ottawa for Dec. 16, David Lauzon is playing the next night at a little place downtown. Aloha, Brad
  16. The number that's displayed under your user name isn't which of your posts it is, it's the total number of posts you've made. If you go back and look at your older posts, you'll see they have the latest number. Aloha, Brad
  17. According to http://www.cbc.ca/canada/story/2006/10/19/oneill-arar-law.html The case was based around a warrant obtained by the RMCP which was used to search the home of a reporter for The Ottawa Citizen. Aloha, Brad
  18. No flames from me; I liked the article. (The one thing I think might have made it better would have been at least some commentary on what the music sounded like to you, zero, but I realize the limitations you were under. As it was, I think the descriptions given in the article give enough to at least interest someone familiar with the other artists that were mentioned.) Aloha, Brad
  19. True. They'll be back in Ottawa on Saturday, Nov. 11, at The Pour House, though. Aloha, Brad
  20. Recently ousted (formerly Tory) MP Garth Turner is reported to be discussing joining the Green Party. Aloha, Brad
  21. Thanks, Baj. I read on another board that there were some last-minute manufacturing problems, but that may just be for the wider (store) distribution of it. My fingers are crossed that they'll have some left for Saturday in Ottawa. Aloha, Brad
  22. For the size of crowd they'll draw, is Mavericks not a decent venue? (And if they blow up huge, what would you think would be a decent venue for them? I guess the next step up would be The Rainbow or Barrymore's; would they count as decent venues?) Aloha, Brad
