AD
Was at the Chapters on Rideau this afternoon and the hardcover version of this book was in the bargain books section for $7.99 if anyone is interested
PassedOutGuy
To be honest theres a reason it went to bargain so fast... its really not a good read at all... i had an advanced reading copy and barely got through it...
NewRider
really? I thought I heard somewhere that it was really good. It has to be better then Living With The Dead by Rock Scully.

phunkyb
I really liked Searching for the sound. From Phil's point of view and flowage of the book. The Scully book is also one of my favs too.

AD
I liked Living With the Dead a lot too, don't know if it was accurate at all but it was a fun read.Hopefully Phil can keep my attention when I have time to read this in 2015.
Dr_Evil_Mouse
I got the Phil book as audio from the library, and altogether enjoyed it (inasmuch as it's a good story to have told rather than read). Phil's my choice of hero from the surviving Dead, and remains the closest to the ideals that drew me to them in the first place, and that's a perspective he brings into play throughout the book. I'd certainly recommend it.
bouche
I have the audio version as well, and when phil speaks, his tongue makes lots of clicking noises.
Dr_Evil_Mouse
Granted. Always better, though, I think, the author reading it, rather than some hired gun. It would, though, no doubt be an interesting thing were, say, Dan Castellaneta to read that book in a Krusty the Clown voice.
PassedOutGuy
Dont get me wrong I think Phil is an incredible musician and an artist... but his writing just didnt do anything for me and found the flow very junked up...

If i can't handle it after 10-15mins, I'll quit and wait 'til i have time to read it the 'old fashioned' way .Seriously, if he's making a ton of gross clicking and smacking noises with his mouth it'll drive me nuts.
