mister slippery
"September 20 - Wang Theatre - Boston, MA"HaHa!!(Sometimes I can be such a child)That's all I got for this thread. I really like the riff that starts the Summerteeth album, don't know anything else about Wilco.
Booche
Dont worry Mr Slippery. I laughed too and then started thinking about the hilarious posters I would create if I could only draw. I mean, is there a more perfect theme than Wilco At The Wang? On their The Whole Love tour no less? This shit writes itself. In the end, triple YES. The wife and I are going to make the MTL show an anniversary date. Her mom is retiring at the end of July and we are already booking her free time. Haha. I kinda feel guilty.Kinda. dave-O
Surprisingly, it appears to be a better deal on service charge through Ticketmaster than Front Gate for the Montreal show.
Mr. Photogeek
Ended up with 10th row for Massey Hall (Saturday only). I bought three tickets though so that may have pushed me back a little. It was a little pricey ($55 that came to about $62 per ticket I believe with service charges) and the tickets are listed on the Massey Hall website @ $48, but I went in figuring if I can get decent tickets I will pay the extra price. 10th row was good enough for me. Kanada Kev
Friends of Massy Hall f'd up and didn't have the shows listed until about 10:20 ... I scored a pair through Wilco in the second row and one front row through Massey for Friday night btw - the Massey tix end up being $63 with all fees in too. Mr. Photogeek
2nd and 1st row...nice score. Also nice to know the ticket prices were about the same. Looking at the Jays schedule for Sept 17th and it looks like they are playing the Yankees that afternoon. May have to make a day of it and catch the game! Kanada Kev
Getting stoked for the Massey shows!!! Finally ... here's a 320 version that sounds infinitely better then the stream rips. http://bit.ly/qzICBM Wilco - The Whole Love The Whole Love is Wilco’s finest effort in some time. While the previous two albums did range from good-to-great they didn’t quite pack the punch that made albums like Summerteeth, Yankee Hotel Foxtrot, and even A Ghost is Born so memorable. The Whole Love finds them returning to some of their roots and blowing them wide open while expanding (quite well) on the formulas they’ve been experimenting with both in the past couple of years and for their entire career. This is as strong of an album as you’re likely to hear all year with virtually no weak cuts, an excellent sense of pace, and- above all else- extremely good (and memorable) songs. Pre-order it or purchase it when you can. Wilco’s got themselves another very solid contender for Album of the Year. mp3@320 Track List 1. Art of Almost 2. I Might 3. Sunloathe 4. Dawned On Me 5. Black Moon 6. Born Alone 7. Open Mind 8. Capitol City 9. Standing O 10. Rising Red Lung 11. Whole Love 12.
