  1. Once I'm past the door I alway enjoy my time at the Opera House. Well aware that I need to have things neatly tucked away, and it's never been a problem. If you round the corner instead of blowing down at their front door they tend not to bother you either (in my experience). Some of the staff at Lee's Palace on the other hand are downright rude and disrespectful, and it has nothing to do with recreational activities. I avoid that venue as much as I can...certain acts will entice me to make exceptions (e.g. DBT) Ahhh free choice...
  2. You betcha! This is huge. The boys can/will do this!
  3. How would one describe Califone? (I'd check it out myself if my connection wasn't so shoddy)
  4. Presumably for the opener. I wonder what time Wilco will hit the stage?

    gif question?

I have my settings set so that I don't see anyone's avatar...much faster.
  6. In. We'll try to make it to the lobby in time for a pre-drink. Should be a great show!
  7. I've always enjoyed HPD too. Having said that I think three bands on a bill for a weeknight is pushing it. This ol' gal would be more likely to check this show out if I knew the Sisters would get on earlier.
  8. Happy birthday Marge! Thinking of you and counting down the days!! ps. Don't steal my name lol!
  9. All Good Festival is on my radar too. A little closer.
  10. I had such a GREAT night overall. Much of which can be owed to the awesome company I had. We were up in the balcony for the show, which going into it I was dissapointed about. However I was quite happy to be there. I had never been to Shea's before, and it is a BEAUTIFUL venue. Being on the balcony enabled one to really appreciate how intricate the room was, and the sound and sightlines were fantastic. I'd agree with much of what Tonin said. While there wasn't anything in particular that I necessarily wanted to hear, I did feel a little dissapointment about song selection. Given that it is so rare to get to hear these songs I've grown to love so dear. Having said that, the energy from the band was great, and they were laying down some super tight, groovy jams. The crowd seemed to be really into it. By far my favourite run of the night was Mississippi Halfstep> Get Back> He's Gone. But the After Midnight was also sweet. Shakedown is always good times and I know that tune particularly made a certain someone on this board happy (amongst many others I'm sure) and I enjoy feeding off the enthusiasm of others for those staple songs. Ripple encore was also beautiful. As much as there were some long-loved gems that I would have liked to have heard, I kept thinking to myself, if I had just walked in off the street to hear this band I would have been blown away. So I figure one can't be too upset about that. Chimenti and Kadlecic bring SOOO much to this band. This is by far the best Dead oriented lineup I've seen in a long time. Chimenti just had me soaring. We ended up hitting the after-party show where the dead cover band Sonic Garden played. They totally surpassed my expectations and were exactly what I needed to carry on with my night. I was not ready to stop dancing and they provided the perfect platform. Such good times! Couple of war wounds to prove it. So convenient having the Hyatt, Shea's and the afterparty all within a five minute walk of each other. I've never had so much fun in Buffalo. All in all a great night. By the way Tonin. Sorry for the goosechase. I'm usually a 'little' more together than that. Ooops.
  11. This DOES look good. It's a little far for me, but I could be convinced...hmmmm....

    Exposure

This is scary. Wishing you all the comfort you can muster at this time. If you truly are interested in getting your story out now (or later) in an anonymous way I may know who to put you in contact with. But regardless of all that take care of yourself.
  13. In! Staying at the Hyatt. After plans sound good to me. What time are y'all planning on rolling in?
  14. I don't know, without hearing it set two looked pretty damn great to me. I love the rockin' tunes too, but I have no problem latching on to the melodies of their ballads and letting them take me up, up and away. I mean: Unbroken Chain > Morning Dew > Other One > China Cat Sunflower > Standing on the Moon > Jam > I Know You Rider, E: Samson and Delilah !! Wow! That would probably give me enough solitude to carry me for a good long while. Monday's setlist looked great as well. I haven't been keeping close enough attention to know whether they're doing any repeats or not. I hope there's a couple!! Your list was looking pretty good too elemeno! One more sleep!
  15. I'm thinking I'll hit United Steelworkers in Hamilton on this night. Lots of great things to choose from, but I figure I'll minimize my effort.
  16. I'd be surprised if Stevie was headlining...not that he isn't 'worthy'
