Interesting shake-up in the lines for the game against Toronto (one that I think was long overdue)...

1st line: Zednik/Koivu/Perezhogin

2nd line: Ryder/Plekanec/Higgins

3rd line: Ribeiro/Bulis/Dagenais

4th line: Bonk/Begin/Sundstrom

In the 'that must suck' category:

Yann Danis was recently demoted back to Hamilton to make way for Christobal Huet. Since Danis is on a two-way contract, his salary will drop from $874,000 USD to under $100,000.

OUCH!

Sheldon Souray is coming back for tonight's game but Komisarek will be out for a while due to his mother's recent passing.

I've read the Ozolinsh rumour as well.... Dagenais and Streit for Ozolinsh anybody?

The Habs have the entire week off this week, which is a badly needed vacation for the depleted roster...

For their next game on Saturday against Anaheim, Montreal is expecting Markov, Komisarek, Koivu, and possibly Bonk back in the line-up. This week will also allow Theodore to rest a nagging groin injury. Kovalev should not be too far behind either.

And a big shout out to Dagenais for scoring two goals against the Kings last Saturday! Looks like the bench-warmer has found his stride.

An ultrasound revealed that Radek Bonk has a torn groin which will keep him out of the line-up indefinitely. He's been plagued with injuries all season, suffering three different injuries this year, totalling 8 games missed so far.

On the plus side, Alex Kovalev laced up for the first time yesterday since his surgery and skated around for 30 minutes with Saku Koivu. Koivu isn't taking part in team practices yet because he doesn't want to re-aggravate his groin injury.

Hoo boy....

Injuries continue to plague the Habs. They will be facing the Sens without Theodore (knee), Koivu (groin), Zednik (uncontrollable diahhrea), Plekanec (knee), and Bonk (groin).

The Habs have recalled Kostitsyn and Danis to support the free-fall.

But LO! there is light in the darkness. Kovalev will be making his return against the Sens.
