It was actually released....although i do keep fish for the table, a fish as old as that one just couldnt be taken for the wall. (i'm getting a 11x14 blown up and framed....)this was a lifetime achievement for me, and i did it this early in life...for me, this is like playing on stage with Phil Lesh...My hands are still shaking, and she was caught and released a little over 7 hours ago now.... There's probably a huge amount of strength in a fish that big; I expect it must have been a little tricky to hold. Is it really tired by that point, or just happy to get a hug? secondtube Posted October 21, 2005 Author Report Share Posted October 21, 2005 thanks everyone.... i was up almost all night last night, just staring at the ceiling.... the fish took a little over 10 minutes to bring in....we have the proper tackle for fish like that.... 80 lbs test line, Xtra Heavy Rods, etc. very little stress occurs, as we get a proper photo (no, she wasn't posing for me, i had to keep a proper handle on her....my hand holding her tail was really holding on...) not to mention my other hand was under her gill plate, about an inch away from a inner row of teeth! thanks again everyone!
