Hartamophone
I think that looks alright. Not something I'll be making much of an effort to get to, but would be worth a moderate drive IMO. Nothing particulaly deviant from the standard festival fare, but that doesn't really deter me. tigger
Sounds like a great time , cheaper than that Tennesee show and in shaded beautiful surroundings , less people ,oh wait no indie bands yeah.

The Chameleon
Looks good, but soooo far. For real. Great to See Moses Mayes on the bill. Really impressive for a little Canadian indie funk outfit. I wonder if the Agency Group is still booking them? If so someone there finally got some vision! Good One! Gateaux
I don't think it's weak by any stretch, maybe the bands just don't cater to your specific likings.

dimafleck: the living legend.
don't get me wrong....for a slightly above average generic hippy jamfest it looks decent....but i really don't understand why anyone would travel for it...plus, trey anastasio (althouygh a big name) is a horrible headliner...keller? i think he's playing 400 other fests this year...same with umph.the only intresting additions are: MMW, however, unless they play a late night...MMW day sets at hippy fests are simply them doing their jobs..nothing out of the ordinary. benevento/russo, and the wood brothers..oh, and wookiefoot...they are crunchy, heady and totally rage it. MoMack
I've heard that the venue is the part thats amazing...Flights to St. Paul and/or Fargo can be had for under $500.
Cully
Venue is amazing, lineup looks good (with more acts to be added) Dima they are even selling these shirts for you..
Birdy
ooh if you fly from detroit (if you're able to border cross that is,) they're waaaaaaaay cheaper.. northwest airlines has a hub in minneapolis/st paul and detroit.. tons of commuters that run non-stop. now that i think of it, you really wouldn't be going to this fest if you weren't USA worthy. jesus.. slow on the uptake. Hal Johnson
How come people that frequent a site called "Jambands.ca" constantly put down Jambands and Jamband festivals? And why do they seem surprised that hippies will attend? I am that out of touch? (Cuz I very well could be - Im a dad now, and Dad's just get lamer and lamer...unless your tigger, he's cool shit.) NewRider
oh Hal! You're not out of touch there is just some kid on this board that thinks he's above everone else now. Egos have always run wild on here but this is pretty ridiculous coming from the "nero ride" guy! Name a band... he's like... totally over them!
