Kanada Kev
Pretty good list. Who would you add or drop?I like the comments on Phish http://www.shoutmouth.com/index.php/news/25097
Schwa.
Couldn't agree more with the #1 selection....and that goes double for #2.Probably the 2 that i'd have put if this were the QOTD.
NewRider
I totally agree with a lot of bands on this list but my top three would've been...1. Talking Heads2. Neutral Milk Hotel3. Uncle Tupelo
captainsunshine
Talking Heads most definitely!!Baj just got me the Stop Making Sense DVD for my bday and watching that really makes me wish I could rock out to them live someday soon! Devo! YES!
phishtaper
who the hell is Neutral Milk Hotel? couldn't agree more about STP and The Smiths, but I actually like Sugar better than Hüsker Dü and I think a Talking Heads reunion would be like watching nails on a blackboard. ive grown to dislike how badly byrne treated the others, and have lost a lot of respect for the man, genius that he is. hamilton
I think the Jimi Hendrix Experience should get back together. Who cares if Jimi Hendrix is dead? They could just find some other guitar player.
MarcO
I totally agree with choice #1, although we'll never see it.Having said that, for the most part I kinda respect artists for *not* getting back together.
hamilton
Echo & The Bunnymen (or, at least, the surviving members) got back together several years ago, and have even released an album or two in the meantime. I think they even toured in North America.Someone hasn't done his homework.
Irie Guy
The Jam should definitely be on that list and if we are pipe dreaming about Bands where an original member isn't with us anymore let's get some sort of Clash back together. Jaimoe
Punk doesn't age well and I think Henry Rollins is too progressive nowadays to bring back the Flag. The Allman Brothers is my top pick to reform.I'd like to see hardcore Swedish punkers The Refused make a comeback too.Richard Lloyd left Television, so they'd be in my list. So too with Derek & The Dominoes. The Replacements kick major ass, but were never the same without crazy-talented lead guitarist Bob Stinson.A comeback for the original Guns & Roses and Van Halen would be cool too.Edit: I love The Jam. Bring them back as well. Paul Weller has never been as good as he was with them. It would be nice to see The Pogues reform with Shane back in front, before he dies. AD
i heard my bloody valentine are getting back together in the fall....Devo would be the only one on that list I'd like to hear from again. The rest are gone, I've accepted it and moved on and don't want my memories spoiled by a comeback.
Tenenbaum
The Smiths: "You started something, finish it." LOLI'd luv to see the Stone Roses groove again some day!also Rocket From The Crypt should never have broken up!
timouse
I know Jerry Garcia's dead. But, guess what? So is Pig Pen, so is Keith Godchaux, so is Brent Mydland, so is Vince Welnick...What's my point, here? The Dead is already playing, it just happens to be in four or five different bands. Weir, Lesh, Kreutzmann, and Hart need to find a guitarist/vocalist, and a keyboardist. The hippies will be almost as thrilled as the rest of the world who doesn't have to deal with multiple former Grateful Dead member acts a year coming through town. a-men. bouche
ugh...didn't the Grateful Dead already attempt a reunion? Or was the fact that they were called "the dead" confused the article's authors? Edited August 21, 2007 by Guest
Jaimoe
I'd also like to see Luna and/or Galaxie 500 reunite. They came around at the wrong time for their type of dream pop meets Velvet Underground.

Rob Not Bob
I think the Jimi Hendrix Experience should get back together. Who cares if Jimi Hendrix is dead? They could just find some other guitar player. So is Noel Redding ... the Mitch Mitchell Experience? They could bring in Mitch Mitchell from Guided By Voices on guitar. LXQ42
You know who I think should reunite - I Mother Earth. They had two solid albums, then broke up. The band kept the name, and they sucked, Edwin went solo and he sucked. When they were together they were awesome.
AD
When they were together they were awesome. word up. totally agree. not about them coming back (see reasons above) but yeah they kicked so much ass when they were 'on.'
bradm
I'd like to see the Jeff Beck / Tony Hymas / Terry Bozzio (featured on Beck's "Guitar Shop" album) group get back together.Aloha,Brad
thatpatguy
I'm ok with these bands not getting back together.. there is something to be said about artists moving on for whatever reasons and sometimes getting back together is worse..with that being said..I beg you please Eric B and Rakim.. get back together and save the world for the shitty hip hop that's plaguing our youth!
