I guess I'm a little out of the loop when it comes to new music from 2008 & found it hard to put 10 together.

In no particular order:

Phish: Roxy Boxed Set

Ben Folds: Way To Normal

Mike Gordon: The Green Sparrow

Frank Zappa: Joe's Menage

Frank Zappa: One Shot Deal

Del McCoury: Moneyland

George Duke: Dukey Treats

The WMDs: Live

Flight of the Conchords: ST

Jimmy Herring: Lifeboat (this is not an admission of being a Panic fan but this album is pretty far out in a 70s fusion kinda way).

Maybe I should just go goth.......

I'm surprised nobody listed The Felice Brothers - Felice Brothers, Black Keys - Attack and Release and Bob Dylans Bootlegs Volume 8. Personally I think they all stand out. Can't wait for the Neil Young release next week from his performace archive series.

I'm surprised November's not even over yet and the best of lists are already coming out. Not that there's much else to come out. but still.

i'm also surprised that anyone thinks the new weakerthans and kathleen edwards albums are anything but disappointing.

Serena Ryder's "is it o.k." should be on there but not sure if it qualifies for this year. You can buy it and download it but you won't get the actual disc until Feb 10-09...its true, you can't rush art.

uh ... i bought it a couple of weeks ago at sunrise. Bloody brilliant disc
