Big Wooly Mammoth
Facebook's Bluesfest app shows The Jam as booked for Bank of America stage final Sunday night. w00t!maybe "From the Jam" who toured a couple of years ago. In a 2006 interview with BBC Radio 6 Music, Weller stated that a Jam reunion would "never, ever happen", and that reformations are "sad". He said "Me and my children would have to be destitute and starving in the gutter before I'd even consider that, and I don't think that'll happen anyway ... [the Jam's music] still means something to people and a lot of that's because we stopped at the right time, it didn't go on and become embarrassing."Either way, I'd definitely be there. Jaimoe
The Jam without Weller ain't The Jam. And that ain't no Yardbirds, unless Beck and Page rejoined the current lineup. The undercard looks good so far.
bungopony
Yeah, got too excited there -- it probably is shortform for a big band jam or something. Sigh. Is it too much to ask for just a couple of old punk bands?

bungopony
Absolutely. They added a whole day for Van Morrison a few years back. They still have huge gaps in the schedule to fill, most notably the main stage for the final weekend. Iggy Pop and Paul Simon were early rumours: let it be so! Velvet
My only complaints are the conflicts. On July 16 it's Alan Parsons vs Styx vs Les Claypool vs Sharon Jones. What's a nostalgic heady prog-loving funkmaster to do?
Freak By Night
Jennifer Warnes Joe Cocker Hopefully love will lift us up where we belong.Gold! I remember many many years ago when they performed that song on the Academy Awards. I suspect the producers told Joe not to wave his arms around while performing - easier said than done for Joe. The expression on his face while he tried to restrain his arms was hilarious.

ollie
That's the worst lineup since 2002! Still pretty good though! I'll be there every day. Yeah, seems to the be the first time that the lineup isn't better than the one the year before. Bound to happen eventually and there are still loads of bands I want to see. I'm buying my pass today!
