zero
I'm trying to track down the non-annoying Christmas songs by legends. Like Bruce and E Street's Santa Claus Is Coming To Town, or Robbie (or Rick Danko's) Christmas Must Be Tonight or the new Dylan album. Any other suggestions? edger
Not sure if you're looking for just the typical carols, but if you're casting a wide net (and don't mind some depressing songs) one of my favourites isGord Lightfoot's Circle of SteelAlways love Joni's River as well.Feliz Navidad. thatpatguy
Dylan's Must Be Santa is great.. though every time I hear it I think that it'd be even better if it was done as a duet with Tom Waits
Dr_Evil_Mouse
Glad KK mentioned the Cockburn album - that's back on rotation hereabout. The Riu Chiu Chiu is amazing (ok, and the rest of it too). I still get a kick out of this -

backbacon
My favourites from last year are Oh Christmas Tree by The Layaways and Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses. Chris Rae's Driving Home for Christmas (see Birdy's post) is an all time favourite! I've been working on putting together a fresh collection for this season's parties but I barely have Internet (basically just using phone) and I would re up some of the past years' collections but my 1TB just died so I don't have access to anything until friday. Going to be wrking on the fly at the Canada post party this Friday! My favourite new acquisition from this year is a collection of old standards (Dean, Bing, Duke...) remixes. From 2003 it looks like.
Kanada Kev
Christmas Wrapping by The Waitresses. Chris Rae's Driving Home for Christmas is an all time favourite! Love those two. Going for a walk/shopping on lunch and gonna give the Dylan XMas a try. [color:purple]I've heard that when Dylan sing's "I'll Be Home For XMas" some people interpret that as a threat!!
