  1. Stephen HArper has ignored the will of the people many times in his tyrannical Bush-like reign. A recent example is how he has flat out refused to help out the Toronto, Mississauga and many other urban centers with funds to update their aging infrastructure. This is incomprehensible especially given the 13 billion budget surplus. The people in the cities need help with infrastructure an affordable housing to name a few things and Harper continues to give Toronto the big FUCK YOU. No wonder the Conservatives haven't won a seat in metro since 1988.
  2. I see people give this gift to each other all the time at the Comfort Zone. haha...
  3. I am a huge original Van Halen fan (with Roth) and I saw one of the Toronto and was very inpressed. So I can just imagine how tight the must have sounded in 1980. Van Halen has many thing going for them that put them in an elite class. 1. Eddie Van Halen's revolutionary guitar technique 2. Alex Van Halen's killer snare sound and technique. 3. Vocal Harmonies (most metal bands do not have the musical chops to pull that off) 4. One of the best frontmen all time in ROth. He's cocky, brash and can connect with audience and his voice has a very alluring timbre. 5. The songs are very well put together and have intricate arrangents. 6. Th classic Van Halen albums were all produced by legendary producer Ted Templeman and they sound very polished and precise. Even if you don't like metal Van Halen is important in the development of Rock'n'Roll.
  4. Someof the fragments are real short and you have to get the name of the song spelled exactly. I got 8 bioth times
  5. Needle drops at 10pm. The venue has a large dancefloor with lots of room to get down and plush couches for relaxing and socializing. The last Sweetback was raging with over 200 disco fiends in attendance....we expect nothing less this time... Quality selections, rare gems and a killer crowd........time to get down y'all! Look for us on facebook and at www.myspace.com/sweetbackgroove PM me for guestlist requests...
  6. Saw them live and was very unimpressed. Seemed very unfocused.
  7. WOW! That's a setlist. Wish I was at that one.
  8. I don't know if I believe this story. Broke a finger? Really.. More like perhaps Page realized he needs way more time to get in shape musically so the show is postponed... Besides is it possible for a finger to heal and be ready to play a 2hr show in one month and a bit? Wouldn't you need more time than that? Seems fishy...
  9. 1. Jimmy Buffett- Take the weather with you 2. OH NO- Dr. No's Experiment 3. Lacucaracha- Ween 4. the Mix Up- Beastie Boys
  10. What I think is crazy is that the Vice Principle initially blew it off as a joke.. WOW!
  11. Single is OK for a while and allows you to be your own person. It is important to live a full life on your own for a period of time. It is empowering to be self-sufficient. Everyone should do it at least once. Eventually, however it becomes an unhealthy and dark place. Bottom line: Single is fine, if you have some dates here and there. If you don't being single fucks with your mind.. As with everything in life balance is key.
  12. Nooooo! you don't even blink.
  13. Basher I think you are right too much "non improvised" music can detract from the fest..much like Bonnaroo recently.. But even so in 2007 can STS9, Umphrey's, Public Enemy and the Stooges and Dafte Punk...that's pretty good regardless.. ..but yes they shot themselves in the foot...never a good idea to alienate your audience
  14. This is very hopeful. Hopefully ticketmaster an be next.
  15. I have seen about ten Ween shows and I thought this on was top notch and balls to the wall. Great jams, heavy guitar duels and all the songs i wanted to hear including Bananas and Blow. Ween is one of the few bands around these days that I would follow on the road. Those guys delivered in a huge way last night. Glad I was there for a packed show... Insane setlist too.... WOW! P.S. Ween live shows have nothing to do performance wise with their studio albums. It's a completely different experience....that's why it's live. Otherwise just put on the record. Also was it just me or did it seem that Gene has beefed up?
  16. Absolute fuckn' GOLD!!! PRICELess... Insane find... -Thanks....
  17. I will be there dressed as a guitar player from a Canadian electronic jamband. I also vote WHite Pepper and Chocolate and Cheese as the best Ween albums yet... BOOOGNISSSH!
