  1. $42 It has to be a scam. Just keep bidding for free, win some stuff and then resell it on ebay for 800% profit. What's the shipping and handling like? Actually, are you thinking of selling it? Steph's niece wants one and is 10 years old. Her mom made her save the money, yup, $280 or something like that and she actually has come damn close to it, I know she has almost $200 and I've been looking around to see if I could find one for that price or less that isn't used since as far as I'm concerned, any 10 year old that can save that much should get her damn prize (her parents aren't all that favorable to video games I think, or they're really good at teaching a valuable lesson I wish I would have had to learn...). Anyway, if you're looking to sell it, pm me and name a price but preferably lower than $200.
  2. nope, probably not the only one but if they throw a nice big festival, they'd have no problem packing the place because deep down inside we all need the phish
  3. well now I hope they start off with a nice big festival cause I want to be there and I'm not so on the ball. If it's MSG or somewhere like that there's no way I'll get tickets not to mention little trey couldn't come.
  4. I thought they already landed a space car thingy on mars and captured video of megatron, or was it blackout? Either way, I'm confused

    FREE HAMBURGER DAY

mmmm, caribou sounds good, ever tried bison? It makes extra lean ground beef look fatty and has fairly nutritious compared to other meats not to mention taaaaaaaaaaasty. http://www.beechhillbison.com/buffalo_nutrition.html http://www.reluctantgourmet.com/buffalo_meat.htm Saslove's has bison as well as lots of other tasty meat and if you hit up the wellington store (westboro), it's almost all organic (costs a fortune but anyone who eats organic can tell you how much better it tastes, not just meat either). http://www.saslovesmeat.com/
  6. August 9th, their playing Lollapalooza in chicago on the 3rd.

    FREE HAMBURGER DAY

Yuk, fast food. If I want free hamburgers I'll pay for the lb of ground beef and make them here at home like always but the idea is cool for those that do eat the fast food. Was it at all harvey's and was there some sort of deal, like having to get something else. You know, it's pretty crazy that we have so much food a restaurant can give it away when all over the news I read about how hundreds of millions of people that were just poor are now going to be starving because of a lack of food.
  8. My body's 30 but I'm still a kid, no reason not to be, just have to pretend to be an adult for a couple hours a day to fool those at my work
  9. Does it need to be bootable? Is it a movie or some sort of program? If it's a movie then it's in an HD format so you'll need HD decoders to watch it. Either way, you want Daemon Tools (google it). Mount the image and it will appear as if it's a cd/dvd drive and then you can extract whatever files you want... Be forwarned, though, Daemon tools and the other cd/dvd emulators might not be cool enough yet to emulate blu-ray or HD-DVD drives so you might be out of luck without the burner for that type of ISO (the iso will be specific to HD-DVD or Blu-ray so you'll probably need that kind of burner if a drive emulator won't work). Also, no clue what happens if you have a mac but I believe mac can just mount ISO images so you should be able to extract the files that way.
  10. We got two baby xylophones, a shelf (which the baby thought was the best toy for some odd reason) and a few other things but I agree with Ms Hux, not so impressed on the junk... Then again, it was fun, 7am we left, walked there and walked back and it's now 1pm. Now, down to the market for some food and a beer.
  11. to further what AD mentioned, another option, if you get something big but don't have a car there, is to just ask if you can pay and pick it up in a few days. I bet if you sweeten that deal with $5 (or more depending on the cost of the item), they'd hold it for you. If you don't have a car, head to home depot and reserve the van. Buy like a roll of sod off them and you can get the van for $20 for an hour then haul ass. OR, come on here after it's over (noon or so) and if there's 3-4 people or more then everyone chips in for a van rental for a day. I don't know but i'm excited for all the great junk.
  12. I can't fricken wait to see this movie. Indiana Jones could kick james bond's ass any day of the week, though he'd probably get the shit kicked out of him first, he'd still win. I'm really lucky in that I can go to a movie, especially one like this and have no need whatsoever to criticize it, just enjoy it for the fact that it's mindless entertainment, a really fun adventure that I won't be able to do but for a couple hours I can pretend. wooooo hooooooooo!!! Steph said we can go see it sometime, oh man I'm excited. I think Indy is probably my favorite movie character ever, I mean who gets up to adventures like he does? The world's been explored now but I always imagine what being a treasure hunter before the days of satellites and fancy gadgets would be like. I haven't seen it yet and I give it best movie of the year. 19 years I've been waiting for this, that's a loooong time to wait for a movie but I knew they'd make at least one more before harriison quits.
  13. You can get this one here (hippieshop.com) New Jersey but I like the store, they have quite a bit of good stuff, steph and I have gotten stuff there before.
  14. Opinions have been removed. By god, I wasn't exactly serious about invading burma, it's called frustration and anger at watching people die for no reason. I will never, ever, ever support what is going on in Afghanistan either but man, I did not intend to join a debate, just let out some frustration. AdamH: That is some of the best news I have heard all week if they let the aid workers in.
  15. It can get a 0% rotten tomato score and I'll still love it. Indiana Jones rocks. Truly fun action, not just pointless action.
  16. I don't understand this. The US government is more than happy to murder thousands in Iraq, we're happy to murder people in Afghanistan, why haven't we murdered the Burmese government and sent aid to these people. Civilians are dying in Iraq all the time same with Afghanistan, the Burmese government have forfeited their right to life when they decided to let all these people die like this. Where the hell is the military or coalition of UN forces. Hell, they don't even have to kill the government, just take them and hold them for a while then let them go afterward (I'm all for life but as far as I'm concerned these guys don't really deserve it all that much anymore and it's not just this incident, there are many others). You can't tell me that a country as poor as burma is going to have an army that would even have the slightest chance against a UN coalition. I was in burma a few years back and they aren't all that developped, the army can't be that strong.

    Why We Have Debt

When I got my license in '95 gas was about $0.42 - $0.45 per liter. It was awesome. Hmmmm, I have a solution. Why don't we use our army to just destroy the private banks and then we don't have to pay them anything? More seriously, I've always wondered the same thing as fowl's dad, why are countries in debt, all of them? If it's to private companies, why do we allow it. We have a biiiiig country with lots 'o stuff in it, do we really need to borrow from private companies. Then again, I have a fancy laptop, flat screen tv with HD cable pumped into it, and lots of other fancy stuff and I'm considered (have been for the past half decade) below the poverty line...
  18. The comments are kinda funny there.
  19. 2.5 gigs in less than 24 hours = entire show on bt.etree.org in less than 24 hours and that is just not bad, not bad at all. Beats the old days of sending away for the product in the mail. There's a better hypothetical situation than the one I mentioned previously. Burnt: I don't think my rogers is throttled either since even though I might average 30kbps or so on a torrent, it does spike up to much higher speeds. I know they say they throttle but I think the throttle is over 150kbps (that gets you 2.5 gigs roughly 5 hours) but after doing some research it might be closer to 100kbps (still plenty fast enough). Since virtually all legal downloads with the exception of linux images and bt.etree.org is done via http type protocols, this should not be a problem to anyone except those bt.etree.org folks that might have to wait a day to hear the show they are downloading.
  20. Or, like me, they're really lazy Then again, after mattm.ca got shut down I lost my hypnotoad
  21. You're right, it must be that all the seeders and fellow leechers were also being throttled. It sucks ass that I had to wait less than 24 hours to save myself $100 ($129.49 + tax on amazon.ca) bucks or so on a 2.5gig piece of data, and I resign myself to the fact that even though it was less time than the shipping time had I ordered what I wanted (only a measly 90 or so hours saved there), it was still excruciatingly long. I'm angered by the fact that the ISP I use was offended by my illegal activities, how dare they, and that they decided to perhaps hinder (though not much, really, if you actually think about it) my efforts to use their equipment to help me in this endeavor.
  22. Thanks, that's actually way more than I expected and pretty neat. Pretty crazy how hard it is to not be seen in a picture down in the states.
  23. Someone(s) have way too much time on their hands. Really neat idea though, driving a van around but can you do that? What about if there are kids, I know that there are all sorts of legal implications when you talk kids and photos but maybe that just applies to semi-private places (I can't take videos of little trey doing his swimming lessons, or even pictures and here at school if they take my picture and want to use it for anything they have to have me sign something). hmmm, anyone know what all the rules are for that? I've always wondered, like when I take a picture of a guy on a lawn chair at bluesfest, or any crowd, am I breaking the law somehow, etc, etc? If not, how come for some things there is a signature needed but not for others?
  24. tsk, tsk, read your posts, I just updated the list for moe.down yesterday in the initial lineup topic but I don't think anyone ever even saw it. U-Melt are great
