p.p.
I don't like this game.... Velvet
Just like when California sailed away on Save The Date huh? I think Phish shoulda left it alone, but whatever, I'm not in the band.Okay, maybe I'm just bitter there's no Supertramp or Dire Straits on the list, but I doubt it. MoMack
Just like when California sailed away on Save The Date huh? I think Phish shoulda left it alone, but whatever, I'm not in the band.Okay, maybe I'm just bitter there's no Supertramp or Dire Straits on the list, but I doubt it.Thought I read somewhere that they're in tough for ticket sales. California isn't the north east (and I know phish does well in Cali, but the north east they do crazy well). No need for them to leave it alone - we're all talking now which is what they want. And we all know that what they say don't mean shit - they make up the rules as they go along!FWIW I also read somewhere that they rehearsed American Beauty but Mike vetoed it after they got it all worked out. Basher
Phish will find a way to leave it a surprise until the show. Nowhere does it say that the last album will be displayed IN ADVANCE of the weekend festivities. Maybe the final eliminations will take place on the video screen in the concert grounds, who knows? ollie
Genesis – The Lambs Lie Down On Broadway Hey Ollie' date=' we can only imagine, eh? Fuck that would be sweet ... but I think it would fare better in a smaller venue [/quote'] I don't think The Lamb is widely known enough for them to pick that one. At least that's what I'm telling myself.
Schwa.
huh, just for posterity i'd like to point out that i picked Pearl Jam before i even knew there was a list of albums Here's hopin'.
Magnum
It is going to be Thriller. Just accept it.It will be awesome.Considering they announced festival 8 right after MJ died and made mention of it it seems like a safe bet. Basher
My buddy in California picked Joshua Tree before any of this, and I went with Thriller, which wasn't going out on a limb by any means.
Booche
I picked Nirvana - Nevermind before this list. It's on this board somewhere. Anyways, my thinking on this process is that Phish are trying to either avoid backlash this time or at the very least provide their fans with an avenue so that they can familiarize themselves with the music. Reports from Vegas in 1998 showed a lot of people pissed off because they didnt know Velvet Underground's Loaded as the band played it. Every single one of my friends in attendance complained as did the online community at the time. Personally, I still thank The Phish for getting me into that album. If they do Thriller expect some key changes to accomodate their voices.
