StoneMtn
Alright, so based on the reviews/reports, despite this being a big arena show, I shouldn't expect Axl to even consider showing up until at least 10 pm, right? It sounds like he's been hitting the stage between 10:15 and 10:45.Any thoughts?
backbacon
My room mate went to the London show on Monday. They didn`t start til after 11. He didn`t like it at all. Bunch of shit guitar with Axl screaming all night. He wasn`t aware he wasn`t getting a free ticket when he agreed to go so he was extra disappointed in the show, having paid $90. Whitey
The London show ended at 1:30 a.m.. Fucking Douche! They were also not allowing anybody in the JLC with Slash gear on.

Kanada Kev
Still haven't seen one "reliable" account that this actually happened. Great media hype to get people to talk/care at all about this tour. Every report references TMZ.com and their report was vague enough to begin with. According to the fan site from which this story was originally reported, it turned out to be just a hoax. Someone called the arena and recorded their conversations with the employees and then uploaded them on youtube.Conversation 1: Converstion 2: Read more: http://www.tmz.com/2010/01/24/slash-guns-and-roses-axl-rose-clothing-shirts-hat/#ixzz0dvBSOYum

DevO
My roommates went to the Hamilton show and had nothing good to say about it! They said that the band members look exactly like the original members. They also said that people dressed like Slash weren't allowed in.
Northern Wish
Someone should go dressed as a giant cock and see if they get in!

mister slippery
Someone should go dressed as a giant cock and see if they get in! :content: I'm still gonna head down tonight, and look for a cheapie.I wanna see it, even if it is a trainwreck. One of my favorite shows was GNR, about a month pre-Appetite, and it'd be fun to redo it now, just for youth's sake.

I ended up not being able to go to the Hamilton show, so my friend (who I was to go with) went with his cousin and said it wasn't all that good. Nice to hear some old songs that they used to like, but the new stuff sounded like screaming, and not the good kind.
mister slippery
That's my interest, fun to hear the old stuff. It's so Easy and Mr.Brownstone? How bad could it be?

Patchoulia
I gave my tickets to a friend from work...I got a txt from him at quarter after 11 last night and it said, "It's 11:15 and Axl still hasn't come on and my buzz is wearing off."I'm so glad I didn't go. Jaimoe
Apparently, since Axl "delayed" the start of the show by two hours (or so), the concert ended at around 2am. Nothing like enduring a restless crowd waiting for a bloated idiot and his glorified cover band to go through the motions.
fluffhead77
Went last night and it was awesome! Didn't come on until 11:30, but they rocked the phuck outta that place, despite the inherent douchebaggery that was their 3 deep guitar section. Helped that we were 10 rows from the front on the floor I think too...
Patchoulia
My buddy said he enjoyed the show, once it finally started..said Axl's voice sounded good and they put on a good performance. He also said he ate half a pizza when he finally got home at 3 am.
ollie
"It's 11:15 and Axl still hasn't come on and my buzz is wearing off."That's exactly why I'm not going to the show.
Hal Johnson
This is what I don't get. You go to a show at a bar and it starts at around 11:00 and no one complains. You get your drink on and then rock out until 2:00am. Everyone is happy.GNR starts at 11:00 and everyone complains, why? Its not like it should be a surprise to anyone. No offense Ollie, but if you went to the show for 8 and stood there for 3 hours complaining, I'd have to say you kind of asked for it. If anyone read the news or followed it even slightly they'd know not to bother showing up until 10:00. It's not rocket appliances people!!! StoneMtn
I am so glad I didn't go to this. I am too old (and lame) for shows ending at 2 am on a weeknight (although I would make an exception for a short list of a few legends).I am glad that those who went seemed to enjoy themselves, though.
