Esau Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 I'll be making this one if I'm back from our august canoe trip in time, got the messege from pollstar the other week.Very good news.
Del Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 I barely remember the show the last time the Allman's came to Toronto... Last thing I remember clearly was sitting in 'gator's car before the show... I'd really like to make this one if possible...
paisley Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 I barely remember the show the last time the Allman's came to Toronto...got that rightsounds like a killer show, right on
Del Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 The show was good, I was just way too high to remember it... (Not that I think things will be all that different this time...)
paisley Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 was on the teetering edge of too drunk to stand up but remember being really happy throughout... wandered into a box seat area and suddenly had a waitress to run to get beer for me... though it was greatcouldn't name two songs off the setlist to save my life though
M Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Paisley was that the night that you woke up the next morning on my kitchen floor w/ cracked ribs?? Hysterical. I seem to recall that the Allmans are always a bit of a piss-up. Looking forward to this year!
stu dog Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Ha M.. that's halarious, good memory, i think i remember getting the blame for those broken ribs ? was it due to kindney shots that went astray .. Moe/Allmans no boarder sweeeeeeeeeeet . i'm there !
paisley Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 actually twas mister bacon who aggrevated my nearly healed cracked ribs with his shenanigans... nothing worse than fugged ribs anything ya do hurts, like breathing etc (originally cracked the ribs basically doing a header off a 7 foot wall months before) remember s2dog complaining I kept spilling beer on him and everyone at the after-bluegrass thing and thinking that was hillarious good times!
Large Marge Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 Oh I'm sure we've all got an Allmans story or two... was anyone else at the downpour show (maybe 4 summers back now)? 2 of my good buddies drove in for the night and ended up looking after a very fucked up Acid-Marge. Post insano show, it must have taken us about 4 hours to get home… I think I was literally rolling around in a giant puddle in the middle of Bathurst St. at one point. The greatest moment of the night had to have been when my buddies finally peeled out in the morning; services were just getting out at the church across the street from my house and there I am on the front balcony… Super-Sketch Marge, doobie in mouth, waving goodbye to my 2 wook companions who bagged their soaked clothes, waved back and marched to their truck, past the jaw-gape churchgoers, in nothing but boxers and boots.Classic Marge.
Vermontdave Posted April 22, 2005 Report Posted April 22, 2005 That's gonna be the show of the summer.peace
elemeno Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 god bless the allmans and cold beer form the cooler in the lot .for true allman brothers experience i recommend catching a show in the southern USA. i love when the rednecks come out to drink beer, eat mushrooms and sleep on the hood of your car.
Booche Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 (edited) "The show was good, I was just way too high to remember it..."Welcome to my first 3 Bro shows brah. Strangely enough I remember the third one, but not the music, even though I was in love with the Allmans before I had seen'em. Edited April 23, 2005 by Guest
Fuckholes Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 Not bad at all...Id also like to hit this one if im not out in the bush. Hey Gregore where about's you hikin too in August???
Im going home Donny Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 The show was good, I was just way too high to remember it... (Not that I think things will be all that different this time...)whats the point then?
c-towns Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 ahhh, the down pour at pine knob is one of my favourite concert memories.
Tooly Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 looks real good to me, other then the tuesday thing
Im going home Donny Posted April 23, 2005 Report Posted April 23, 2005 no border is way sweeeet! Kinda wish it were Mule w/moe but still love the Allmans! This should be great!
Palms Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 I'm more excited about Iron Maiden and Mastodon at Molson Amphitheatre. Aug 3 or 8th - still to be announced officially. Iron Maiden will only be doing material from their first four albums.Love the Allmans, seen them 9 times since 1989. moe., they blow. HATED them opening for Phil and Friends in Toronto
Del Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 If your only moe. experience was when they opened for P&F I suggest you give them another chance...
Palms Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 No, that was just my most recent. I'm not sure if I'd give them another chance. Can anyone suggest a downloadable show worth checking out? MP3 please, don't know how to SHN yet....
Del Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 I recommend 2004-11-10 from Ottawa, ON. It's the best moe. show I've personally seen. I don't know where you'd get it from though, especially in mp3...
backbacon Posted April 28, 2005 Report Posted April 28, 2005 The show was good' date=' I was just way too high to remember it... (Not that I think things will be all that different this time...)[/quote']whats the point then? The actual experience when you are there can be the most amazing thing... if you can't remember it, that's a bonus!! That way, it's all brand new the next time! Leave all memories in the lot!
