Jaimoe
I go through phases of not listening to any music, however I love this album:Rocket From The Tombs - The Day The Earth Met Rocket From The Tombs ( seminal 70's proto-punk band )However, just this morning, I listened to songs from bands I've never listened to before, and I loved what I heard:Luna ( rock that leans towards The Velvet Underground meets Television )Birddog ( earthy dark folk ala My Morning Jacket )The Capitol Years ( folk/garage rock - some songs are compared to The Grateful Dead ) Edited May 1, 2005 by Guest

\/\/illy
Blue Rodeo - Are You ReadyHow is that? I've been thinking about buying it. I picked up Keelor's solo album. There's some really good heart-felt songwriting on that CD. The production quality leaves a little to be desired but it almost helps to validate the emotions it's expressing. dave-O
Bill Frisell - NashvilleMatt Mays + El TorpedoGomez - Split The DifferenceNick Drake - Pink MoonBlue Rodeo - Are You ReadyAs for the Blue Rodeo, Willy, it's pretty good overall. The first 4 tracks are great; followed by 2 really slow songs that do nothing for me; followed by a handful of typical sounding Blue Rodeo songs. The second last track is a fantastic, dark, Keelor song with trumpet and him just givin'er on vocals.
