DevO
BRUTAL.You know that when Whitesnake and Def Leppard are among the most exciting acts of the Summer, you've got a fairly shit summer lineup.

Kanada Kev
The Grasshopper option is pretty cool. Nice touch! Ya' date=' I'm liking that! [/quote'] Yup, that's their system for filling all the empty seats that are overpriced, while the more affordable lawns are sold out. Have you ever been to a show there where the lawns are really busy and the 300 and 400 seats are almost empty? It's fucking weird. I'm happy to go into the pavillion (especially if it's raining ) but I'm not going to dish out another $10 unless it's dropping me in the pit
ike
Worst molson amp. summer line up ever. Not even one act that I'd be willing to pay ticketbastard to go see. Allmans/Panic would have been nice.
Whitey
The Grasshopper option is pretty cool. Nice touch!Yeah, and another source of revenue for them. Can't slip nothing past TB/LN.
bradm
BRUTAL.You know that when Whitesnake and Def Leppard are among the most exciting acts of the Summer, you've got a fairly shit summer lineup.DMB w/ Femi Kuti could be fun (more for Femi than DMB, though, IMO; my idea for a festival of acts that have opened for DMB [not DMB itself] is still viable...).Aloha,Brad

mark tonin
Which of the following words best describes the 2009 summer lineup at the Molson Amphitheatre? a. brutal b. crappy c. sad d. awful e. all of the above f. none of the above I'd circle f. if asked the above question, because none of the choices accurately depicts just how horrid the lineup really is. Freak By Night
I've seen 19 of the bands on that list in the past.If I lived in Toronto and had some extra dough I'd go to several of those concerts.

Jaimoe
I tried to get Pearl Jam tickets, but they sold out in minutes. The Rise Against/Rancid show will be good. Other than that, this may be the weakest summer lineup I've seen since I moved to T.O. in 1991.
Thorgnor
Rock the Bells will be better at the amph than the hanger, but it'll get moveed to the hanger after they sell enough tickets so... agreed.
DevO
The only one I might go to is Blue Rodeo.. If they have that $10.70 ticket promotion that is!
backbacon
WTF Mark Tonin said something negative? My world is upside down. I was JUST going to make note of that too! If The Molson Amp was a few hours closer to me and the shows were a pay-what-you-want situation, I would go see: - Nine Inch Nails and Jane’s Addiction – June 2 with Street Sweeper Social Club (I'd pay $30) - Dave Matthews Band – June 9 with Femi Kuti & Positive Force ($20) - New Kids on the Block– June 21 with Jabbawockeez ($10) - The Offspring – July 2 with Pennywise and Frank Turner ($20) - Def Leppard – July 4 with Poison and Cheap Trick ($15) Rock the Bells 2009– July 5 feat. Nas and Damian Marley ($10) Judas Priest – July 9 with Whitesnake and Pop Evil ($20) Depeche Mode– July 24 with Peter Bjorn & John ($10) Nickelback– Aug 9 with Papa Roach, Hinder and Saving Abel (I'd need to get paid $100 plus some free mind benders) The Moody Blues – Aug 12 ($20) Dream Theater– Aug 14 with Zappa Plays Zappa, Pain Of Salvation and Beardfish ($30) Pearl Jam – Aug 21 ($30)
