well, i like to tell people i am a photographer. i *try* to make a living out of it, but really, i dont have the balls to give it a full-time go at this point. im kind of enjoying easing into it, actually. finding out what it is i really want to do with it, and where i want it to take me, and more importantly honing my craft and finding what im good at and where i need improvement.

in the meantime, i've been moonlighting in the retail industry, recently promoted to assistant manager of the camera store i work at. in other words, im someone elses bitch.

I run a self-storage business and a trailer rental business, also a storage deal. It's good because I sit at a desk, in an office but I'm out running errands and in a warehouse and other stuff. I have downtime so I waste it here, and in extreme emergencies, I can sleep on the floor of the office...like this morning.

Drums and Tuba kicked serious ass last night. And the first band, I really can't remember the name, but the guys with the hoods, they were cool too....they lost a bit of the mystique when I saw them taking their gear out...but it was still fun

My official title is "Junior Informatics Application Specialist/Spécialiste subalterne des applications informatiques". It's bilingual because I work for Transport Canada.

However, my boss has been introducing me as "This is Mike, one of our senior developers".

I basicallly make web applications for Civil Aviation in Transport Canada.

I also do my best to keep this jamband place running waiting for more time to add new stuff. However, that's not for a 'living'.

on-ice promotions at the Leaf games

Whats that consist of?

That consists of going on the ice when the Leafs go off and doing any one of 8 different promotions.......from throwing T-shirts into the crowd to taking part in the Great Canadian Pizza Pizza Goalie Race. I'm out of the city now so I don't make it to all the games anymore but whenever I want, I can :) If backbacon or S2-dog read this maybe they'll put a picture of the goalie race up!?!?!

Really hoping they make it to the cup!!

I think it's a great idea but the other co-creator (backbacon) isn't going to be there unfortunately and well, a lot of the stuff just wouldn't work without him :(

Example - if anyone's seen the "hog-tie", it'd look really silly with just me performing!

We'll see though....maybe I can figure something out?!?!

Self Employed, Under Paid, Well Educated but reasinably happy.

For the past 8 years I have been spending my life playing with Hemp. Hempopotamus has been manufacturing Hemp Jewellery and distributing Hemp Twines, Beads & More throughout N. America and beyond.

For the Past 4 years I have been the proud honor of the Grey Bruce Peninsula's best little head shop. Irie Sky. 200 sq ft of Rasta influenced goodness. Come get Your Bob Marley fix at the beach. Soon non near northerners will be able to get their Bob Marley merch online.

In my off time, I'm a part time graphic designer, web print and the like, and a huge procrastinator.

I just finished my honours BA at Trent University in Global Studies.. Some day I'd like to get some kind of work in relation to what I've been doing at Trent but who knows. I'm at a crossroad now but the next few years are looking good.. Currently I am a pool boy (4th summer in a row) working for the likes of Scott Young and Rob McConnell. Come the Fall my profession will be "ski bum", location Nelson, BC or nearby. A year from now my professtion will possibly be "English Teacher" in Taiwan or Japan. A year from that hopefully it will be "surf bum" in the land of Oz. Oh and I am a very part-time glass blower. etc. ::

I like to think I'm a photographer as well...I actually made a living doing it for 5 years until I got laid off (I had the fancy title of "Photo/Imaging Specialist at that job). For the past year I have been freelancing, but I am now looking for a full time job. I have a job interview on Monday so maybe I'll post in couple of days with a completely new job!
