paisley
sipping beers at home listening to the Coventry simulcast (later at Esau13's, that closet Phish head)was one emotional sloppy pseudo junkie version of Wading In The Velvet Sea I tell ya (I laughed, I cried, I got another beer)definitely sounded like some good times being had

SteveThe Owl
We took the bus to Newport and walked in from there, got to our campsite at around 10pm on the 12th... no camping-on-the-side-of-the-Interstate story there.

Kanada Kev
Watching the simulcast in a theater in Buffalo. Met some heads in the lot preshow for a few beers and a spliff (weird at a movie theater) and the fuzz were actually there keeping an eye on it. While in the comforts of the A/C theater, and witnessing that performance, I was glad I was not there too. Felt sorry for a lot of folks who had to turn around. Not a great way to end it. Schwa.
I was there. We had VIP passes and coasted past all the super pissed off people and went right on in....then we got a camping spot on some high ground at the end of the runway and everything stayed nice and dry. Had a great time
slavetothegroove
I was at Coventry, but still to this day can't recall the memories clearly enough. I do remember that Velvet Sea and the emotion in the air. Wish I could go back and soak up that weekend a little more.Steph
hamilton
I was also at Coventry, with TimmyB. The whole event was a bit of a mixed bag, but overall I'm glad that I went.

Hartamophone
I was at Coventry, with shit on my feet and piss in my ears. That said, it wasn't all bad, and I'm glad I was there for the end (or at least what is presently known as the end). I'm looking forward to someday telling my kids about having to "walk ten miles through the mud to get to rock and roll shows back when I was your age. We didn't have no fancy hovering crafts, neither."

dave-O
I drove home from Boston after seeing the Great Woods shows and doing some work in Rhode Island, listened to the webcast with my dog and balled my eyes out at what a clusterfuck Coventry turned out to be. Freak By Night
I went to Coventry. I was in Vienna the day before and caught a plane to Montreal, my buddy picked me up at the airport and we drove straight to Vermont. From Vienna it took me less time to get to Coventry than it did for people who left from New York or Boston, which I thought was kind of funny.
