FunkyBeats
Well, title says it all...what do you all think?I like Waste by Phish but I fear it won't translate well for the Quebecois side of the family...FB.

Jaimoe
It should be something personal between the wedding couple. If the hippy anthem "Waste" says it for you, then play it. My wedding song was "Passing Afternoon" by Iron and Wine. Honourable mention was Johnny Cash's version of "I See A Darkness" - we snuck this song in a little later in the evening. However, I wanted "Kick Out The Jams" over both.
hamilton
The Rolling Stones' "Bitch" would probably go over really well.

Dr_Evil_Mouse
My option was Crazy Fingers (always struck me as having a nice wedding night vibe for reasons I can't quite define), but it was trumped by Attics of My Life, which had some bearing by being a meaningful song from our first show together. Could do worse .

edger
Nine Inch Nails - Fuck You Like an Animal.... always gets grandma up and out of her seat ... I was feeling travel weary until you absolutely made my night with that one!!Our song was To Lay Me Down. But during our 'service' we were also blessed with my cousins singing Attics, and MarcO singing They Love Each Other...Topped the night off w/ some Friends of Hefner...Weddings are extra special/fun when they comprise a community of folk that are tied through a mutual love of music. skelter
Mine was 'Loving You Is Sweeter Than Ever' - performed by Kingston legends Bloom and based on The Band's version. Our second choice was "I've Been Loving You Too Long" by Otis Redding, until we looked closer at the lyrics and realized it's kind of about an affair. Ms.Huxtable
We didn't really have a first dance, but Kevin Breit played two great songs at our wedding that we clung to each other during:1. Hang On - His own song2. God Only Knows What I'd Be Without You - Beach Boys.
